What to have handy
- Home or condo: the address, the year built, and when the roof, heating, wiring and plumbing were updated.
- Vehicle: year, make and model.
- Business: what it does, rough revenue, and who wants a certificate of insurance.
- Construction: the site, the value, the dates and the builder.
- Marine: the boat, its value and where it's kept.
Rough answers are fine. Anything that matters gets confirmed before a policy starts.
ICBC Autoplan
Autoplan is completed with me, not on this website. Renewals can be done by phone. New plates, and buying or selling a vehicle, are done in person at a broker office.
Questions
How long does it take?
Most people finish in three to nine minutes. It asks only what applies, one screen at a time, and keeps your answers if you go back or reload.
Is this an application?
No. It's a request for a quote. Nothing is in force until it's confirmed in writing, and there's no charge.
What happens after I send it?
It comes straight to me by email. I reply the way you chose on the form, sort out anything missing, then come back with options.
